REACH/Enrichment:
At Grace Academy, we realize that students grow at different rates. We utilize different models to help students grow. We draw upon the excellence and faithfulness of our staff to design reading models for each grade level and classroom needs every year. In designing our instruction, we always ask “What is best for kids?”
Students reading below grade level have the opportunity to work with our reading specialist for extra reading instruction after receiving their regular classroom reading instruction. We utilize running records to assess student growth in their reading throughout the entire year.
Students in grades 2-5 that are working consistently above grade level in reading, math, and writing, are welcome to join the enrichment teacher on a regular basis.
